Default head unit

if i get a new head unit... how many preouts do i need to have one the new head unit because my stock headunit i guess is connected to my stock sub, sat. radio, aux output... i'm just not sure if the sub is connected to the head unit like a aftermarket sub... or if it's connected another way.

I don't know if the stock sub is connected the same way either, but I think it is. If not, it can be converted over without too much hassle.

I think you would only NEED a headunit with 1 set of RCA outputs - for the sub. Get a headunit that is Sat ready, so you won't need an RCA plug for that - it should have a seperate connection.

I would get a headunit with at least 2 sets of RCA outputs. Most have 2 now adays, and some have more.

If you something like from Eclipse I'm guessing it might be fine since it uses the same shared harness. Some decks have either own built in amp too.
