Default help with amp and sub install

alright I bought the scosche kit with the cap with it, it came with a batery terminal and I'm curious how to connect it. The kit really doesn't come with allot of detailed instructions.

1. Do I have to cut up my OEM battery harness to connect it to my battery terminal?

2.when I run the power wire for my amp thru the firewall I don't think I have the right grommet or I am looking at the right thing. I see a wrap of wires coming from this cone rubber thing behind my steering wheel is that the grommet I need to pass the wire thru?

Yes that is the grommet you want to use. i just went under it and havent had any problems. Some people take the time to take of the tape and put it threw with the wires but that makes it A LOT harder

Got a link to the kit you bought? I'd like to see it's contents, can't reply for the battery question unless I see what it requires.

I looked a bit and didn't find any pics of the terminal, just the package. Weird that a search of the Scosche website doesn't find that part number, so I'm not sure which of their terminals it might be.

Regardless, most of their terminals have multiple connections for various sized wiring, so it's my guess that the smaller one you're asking about is an auxiliary 8 guage output. It's for whatever you want or need to connect, in addition to the larger outputs outputs used for the vehicle & audio system.
