Default help with bazooka factory sub

So i have that bazooka sub that scion offers as an option when you first purchase the car....and i cant figure how to get the damn thing out. ive read the install manual and it hasnt helped me one bit. the reason im trying to take it out is because the sub no longer beats at all, you can feel the music playing through the sub as well as heard it but it doesnt produce any bass at all. the green gain light is also on. could there be a possibility that the ground is faulty? i was thinking thats why there in not any bass or clarity in the sub at all since the sub is getting power thats the only thing i could think of.

Which one is it? The one in the floor or on the side of the trunk?

For the one on the side, you have to remove the speaker and then there are two nuts to undo inside the enclosure that secure it to the side of the trunk.

haha well i guess it could be blown. ill have to check. i do have another sub and amp though but im not trying to have a big box in my trunk. that website someone provided....are there pretty cheap? although some of the set-ups people are comming up with are pretty sweet, economical, and save space. i really havent tried to take it out yet though i mean i just looked around it to see if there were any bolts or anything thats why i just had to ask lol

yeah it turns out one of the connections on the sub had somehow fallen off. i put it back on and it didnt do much so im just going to assume its blown. you think ill just be able to replace it with any old 8 in sub? i think im just gonna do that until i start working this summer to possible build a little system that is pretty stealth.
