Default HELP!!! iPod Update causing Comm. Error...

I hope somebody knows the answer to this one. I updated my 60gb iPod photo to the latest software (version 1.2.1), and now my stock head unit gives me "iPod Comm. Error" every single time I plug it in! I even took it to my local Dealership, and they told me it was my iPod, and to try reformatting. I reformatted, no dice. I use the same bottom plug-in port at home & it works, and with my Monster radio transmitter, just not the factory adaptor. Has anyone else had this happen? Help me please!

try unpluggin from the head unit and rebooting the ipod. u can look up how to reboot the ipod on apple.com if u don't know how. it's something like toggle the hold switch on/off a few times then push down the center and i think menu till the apple icon appears. then try pluggin it in again

I've totally tried that like 5 dozen times. I even wiped my whole iPod and re-installed the firmware onto it just in case (twice now, in fact). I'm afraid that I'm totally boned on this one. If it is the newest version of iTunes that is causing it, (ver. 1.2.1), then it'll probably be 6 months or more before Scion does anything to rectify the issue (if at all). This sucks.
