Help Me Decide! Seats/Etc!
If you've followed my other thread at all ( https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=261833 ) then you know that I have some "shopping" to do. When I submitted my proposal, I did include initial ideas on what I would get... but I thought I'd get some outside input before I tell them what I want.
So far I listed the following:
Seats: CR1, Red
Harness: 2" Double Release, Black
Brackets: L/R for tC (can't change anyway)
Seats...
I have to stick with reclining for autox (class rules)... but that's probably what I'd end up with anyway. You can check them out here: http://www.corbeau.com/products/reclining_seats/
I know the A4s are pretty popular... but I think the CR1s might be more comfortable for my fat ___... OK, not fat... but I'm up to a 36". And my first choice for color was actually the gray cloth for a clean look. But then I figured something more obnoxious might be in order just because they're obnoxious - so that's where the red came in.
Harness...
My first choice was the 2" double release, but that might be more because that's basically what I'm running right now from Schroth. The more I think about it, I'm more likely to go with the regular 2" harness belts. But would there be any reason I should go for the 3" 5 point belts? They're a bit more expensive, but seem to be kind of overkill for mainly needing them for just autox. Plus if I went the 5 point route, I would have to have the 5th slot option added.
That brings me to 'accessories' ... the 5th slot is really only needed if I bother to go with the 5 point harness... but what about lumbar? Is that worth the extra $? We don't have any special lumbar support in the tC as-is, so my thought is really to skip it. I figured I'd ask anyway.
So... what do you think?

Personally I think the A4's look better but if your gunning for autoX then you might consider bucket seats. If not then consider some Recaro or Sparco. But if your on a budget then I would go with A4.
i honestly hate the black patches on the high points on the bolsters, i know its to prevent wear and tear, but i really love the TRS seats, i think they look the best
also i hate huge belt guides! another reason why i love the TRS, but thats just me!
i would get the 3 inch, just for the hell of it, why not! its not much more expensive!

So the TRS is an option... I know chico threw that out there. And really, for its aggressiveness, it should be on the top of my list. It's closer to a proper racing seat than some of the others.
I actually don't mind the black wear patches... especially with something like the red b/c it helps to tone the color down. And if those areas are really high wear, I don't want them rubbing off.

id go with the TRS also, they seem to be the best looking and thickest seat. im not a fan of the A4s or the CR1s they seam to thin for me, but then again i have recaros which are pretty beefy seats and they are very comfortable, but the TRS look like the closest thickness to my Recaros.
also get the lumbar support its a GREAT addition, i have them in my Recaros and i absolutely love it

I'm torn now...
The TRS is not in stock in the grey cloth I was hoping for. The CR1 in grey cloth IS in stock. But it is also more expensive. For the same price I can get the TRS in black/grey suede (which I believe he did say is in stock).
I'm leaning toward the TRS still but not sure if I really want suede.
