Default Help me wire a switch(H.E.L.P. PICS UP)update2

i have a switch with an led in it and have a wiring question.

the only problem is the ground wire is only like 2 ft long and i have no where to ground it on under dash. will this wire only help to light up the led in the switch or is this switch important?

now, do i need to put this ground wire in or does it not matter seeing as one of the wires comming from the fogs is already grounded.[img]

sorry for huge image but its for viewing purpose's
now do i need to put the ground wire on teh swtich? i have no need for it to light up.

that specific ground sounds like it's used to light up the led switch when it's off

however the switch picutred above has the ground for whatever product coming back to where the switch is...

now if the fogs already have their own ground.. you just need to run power to it.

You could always extend that wire if it is too short....

ground to a point by the dead pedal...remove the drivers kick panel and ground to a metal point by the wire assembly.
2 ft is all you will need.

Umm what did you use to cut the holes in the panels for the fogs? A butter knife? I hope you plan on cleaning that mess up.

squall is right...

3 goes to constant power source (whatever you are using for power)

2 goes to the fogs

1 is the ground for the switch; it is only used if you want the light on the switch to light up

well to cut the hole i used this;
[img][/img]
its craftsman and its 2" and i also had to buy the special tool to the left. i spent about 24 on both. its not hard to drill at all takes like 15 seconds. if you bought fogs make sure they are 2" any bigger i dont think will fit in the corner grills.

hey if you need the those tools i'll sell em for 15 shipped only used once. lol.
