Hi I have some left over 4 guage power cable and need some 4 guage ground cable. Can i use the power cable that i have left over as the ground cable that i need? casue i think i heard from somewhere that all the cables are the same there just color coded.

You are correct...same cable..different insulator color.

Just make sure you tag it some way to make sure you do not think it is a power cord in the future.
