A Stealthbox is designed and manufactured (and trade marked) by JL Audio. I just like to keep things straight.

Sorry to be rude, but he didn't say Stealthbox. He said A sealth box. Stealth being an adjective describing the style of box.

It has nothing to do with any JL owned trademarks. It's just a box you can't see in the hatch.

Thanks Chris for some backup and I am gonna do it. Will the 9.1 provide too much power for the 190v.2 to handle at 1ohm. I am pretty sure though that if you recommended it than it would probably work fine. Well I think I am gonna order the 9.1 and also the 190v.2 how hard is it to build the box for that sub since it weighs 75 lbs the largest box I have built was for two twelves and not sure about the size or strength of the box needed for this big of a sub. Man I would be in heaven if I could get either an audio company to hook me up with prices or to get sponsored but right now I would be happy if it would just stop raining so I could finish installing my LED underbody. Got to love Florida and not having a garage to work in. Bring on this hurricane season

Box, 3/4" MDF is ok. The actual sub is only 38 pounds

The shipping crate weighs in at 34.

And yeah, on a Nine.1 @ 1 ohm, you'd be fine. You'll probably get uncomfortable before damaging the speaker

Hey Chris when I order the 190v.2 which one am I gonna need to order I would think the d2 that way I can drop it into 1ohm. Also when you were running this setup did anything go wrong with it... I am not looking to crack my back windsheild or the roof for that matter or having any of my interior falling apart I just want to be able to hit some really low notes. And also do you happen to have any pics of it in your car I am wanting to see how it would look in the back of the tC. Thanks Chris and as long as everything goes as planned I will probably be ordering it the week after I get back from my birthday trip to GA. so like the 15th of september. I wish I could have gotten off for that weekend instead of my b-day week of the 8th thru the 12th that way I could have went to NOPI in ATL. But oh well my buddy will be going and I will try to get him to get me some good pics of tC's. But yeah hit me back sometime about the sub that way I can start getting all my ducks in a row to start upgrading my previously upgraded eD system

I'd say, if you're going to spend the $$ on the nine.1, go ahead and get the D2 so you can utilize all its power... otherwise, get the nine.2x and use it at 4ohm (still D2 sub) for 600+ watts... but I vote for the 9.1

D2 1 ohm.

No problems at all other than it was loud as ____.

And no pictures since uh...it was in my fiberglassed hatch in a box that really isn't made to fit in a normal tC

well chris seeing as it will be going in my tC do you see any problems with it fitting in the hatch area? Also would I be better off porting the box or just using sealed enclosure. It will be used daily just not to full potential but when I decide to show off and ____ off I plan to cause some serious "noise polution" as the other two tickets I have gotten back when I had my xplorer and twelves.
