Default help with sodering n check out how far i got

i need to cvhange led on havac lcd screen how do i get lcd sceen off i cant figure out how to remove lead

well so far so good i ran out of blue so i had to use green and then i ran out of green had to use red but i still need to change the lcd screen need help to remove it cant figure it out. but i so proud of my self i didnt ____ up my havoc

First, use desoldering braid to reheat and suck up the solder along the leads of the LCD on the back of the PCB. You'll know you're done when you can see holes around the leads of the LCD on the circuit board.



also your hazards are on backwards.

It will eventually break the tabs on the button I think since it is not made to fit that way.

On the lcd, be sure you can wiggle all leads after desoldering. It should easily come off with no pressure. Some that have not spent a ton of time soldering have trouble with the desoldering braid, but you can get a heated solder sucker at radio shack for between 10 and 20 bucks at radio shack. I would still get some braid to clean up what it misses though.

also, in addition to the wiggling, yea... there should not be any pressure at all when removing it.

moreso, it should just drop out after all the leads are indeed loose.
