Default Help! Stock Headlight Harness Melted!

i learned the pros and cons of getting aftermarket headlights and not replacing the stock harness and now its melted. I bought a Nokya harness that's supposed to support higher wattage bulbs, but I was wondering if any of you guys can guide me through the installation process. I know it looks as simple as cutting the old sockets off and crimping wires together, but i don't want to do anything wrong. is there anything else i need like heat shrink tubing? if you guys can help me out by posting a quick DIY that would be great.

do a search, it has been talked about before, the process isnt too hard

for the future, get silverstars... there would be no need for a new harness with those bulbs... so dont bash on all aftermarket bulbs
