I need to know how wide the opening is to hide an amp behind the rear passanger panel. How wide do the supports need to be? I am bending some brackets shortly to secure my amp and need to know if I made them long enough. If anyone knows anything, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!!

 

I think the only way to do it right would be to take the panel off and measure it. That area under the panel is pretty large. BTW, I would recommend sound deadening while you have that panel off. It made a huge difference for me.

Yea, that is where I got the idea, but i am not sure if I made my support brackets too short. I bent some 14 gauge galvanized sheet metal and recessed the actual mounting positions. But with the bends, it takes out about 2 inches leaving me with only 12 inch supports. From Mandos' pictures, it looks like the width is a little larger than the Nine.1, so about 10.5" , but I didn't know if anyone had any measurements.
