Volume w/ sub on that box is at .36 cubic feet.

We designed a slim speaker that would work in small enclosures....small sub + big box = stupid
And no, the box is the same...I don't have a painted one, that's an RSX box painted...just used to show the paint

I think this Pioneer TS-SW2541D Sub would work pretty well with the enclosure your building too. It only has a 3" mounting depth, hopefully I can find someone to make the box for me. But how much did the box cost to make????
how loud is it though? it's only 1 10" in a sealed box, i just can't see it doing very much. i have a 10" alpine type R in a 2 ft ported box and with 300 watts it's only gettin to about 124 db's. so i just don't see this setup being to loud.
but i do love how it's hidden and you still have your whole trunk which isn't very big to begin with.

i don't think the point is to be loud...the point is to get some good clean bass to compliment any system. I had an 8 in my mazda and it wasn't loud but my music sure sounded damn good. if you want loud bass then hidden isn't the way to go unless you are willing to sacrifice the spare tire. or take the time to make a box like the bazooka box
Yeah, it's not there to get loud.
It's there to sound good and be an easy addition to a system, while keeping your trunk.
If people want loud, they're usually willing to give up their trunks
As for how it sounded, it sounded sweet

ok i gotcha, i didn't mean to offend anybody if i did.
in my last couple cars i had 2 12's in a big, heavy sealed box and downgraded to what i have now. i didn't want to use my entire trunk and weigh my car down with over 100 pounds but i still wanted some good output so i went with the setup i have now. and if i need trunk space i just unhook the speaker wires from the box and pull it out.

Would it be useful to anyone to see FR and peak SPL measurements in the Scion tC with this subwoofer / enclosure?
I think that might give some people a good idea of output and what kind of in car response you could get. any thoughts?
