hifonics makes some good amps so it will probably make 1500 to 1800 at 13.8 volts. but make sure you have the electrical system to handle those loads( like an high output alternator and a capacitor and a good battery). because if you don't it will probably shut off a lot and be distorted.

My RF T10001BD was under $1K, actually $400 new it puts out 1400watts at 1ohm and it is CEA2006 compliance. Anyways the Brutus was what I was looking for before I got the RF, decided to pay a few more for the RF instead. Out of all the research I've done the Brutus you got more bang for the bucks if you are running a budget.

maybe off of ebay you got it for 400 new one no? the amp is 700 new, and i did forget about that one, but as far as getting 1400 out of it, not likely. It does 1000x1 at 1 ohm, i know rockford underrates, but not that much.. you will possibly see 1100 out of it.

666@4ohms
1056@2ohms
1454@1ohms
According to the birthsheet (need me toscan it for you too?) and like i said w/CEA-2006 specs. And I bought it brand new (in BOX and still wrap) from a shop in philly no EBAY ____.
And also the RF I got is not the normal run off the mill bestbuy special.

But to the OP check out soundillusions.net read their forums and check out what others say about that amp. Like i said for running on a budget its a great amp it will do its rated power.

ive heard of the brand, but very unfamiliar of the quality.. pulling #'s out of my ___? how do you figure, the numbers i threw out were for the rockford, not hifonics. as i still find it hard to believe that rockford pushes that power, but if his test sheet says so i guess its so then.

indeed, my RF 501s is 500x1@4ohm but birthsheet says 632RMSx1@4ohm....

I've always heard good things from hifonics....especially about the good price.... but you'll definitely need some upgraded electrical for 2k watts.... Big 3 wiring upgrade, 0ga power/ground, better battery, maybe even an alternator rewind... forget about a cap, they don't help like majority of people think they do....they'll not help in this application very well anyway...

im running 1.7kw off stock alternator and a 50 farad. that cap has enough juice to start my car though.

take it with a grain of salt if you'd like, but I'll never use a capacitor in any system unless it's a dedicated SQ vehicle running LESS THAN 800watts of total power... too many people get capacitors thinking it'll keep you from pulling straight from your alternator and dimming out your lights... they're just a band-aid for a bigger problem - being insufficient amperage...

I disagree, when doing spl comps and burping the system its easier to have a ready source of power then to try to draw from what ever amount of feet you have from the battery itself.

so are you saying that you drive around town listening to 1 or 2 second clips of music at a time???? didn't think so... so what's the point of a "50 farad" cap in a daily driver??? and how do you explain Alma Gates Bronco with 10+ High Output Alternators in it?? what?? no capacitors?? they're a waste of money....

as I said, take it with a grain of salt if you'd like, I don't give a falk...

And what has to charge up that cap again? You music is playing cap went down alt has to charge up a cap while trying to produce enough amps to run the amp to play your music....

Caps waste of money

Oh by the way Alma Gates Bronco has 12 alternators...

no, i dont drive around listening to 1 to 2 seconds clips lol, but i dont go around bassing anywhere near full blast. the setup i have is for competition, although i have the ability to drive around with it loud, i dont. alma gates is in a world of her own, thats all i can say about her. shes nuts, but shes also producing a world more of power then i am. also keep in mind she may not have caps, but she has a ton of ready service batteries in the rear, close to the amps, correct? what do you think a 50 farad cap is? its a rapid discharge battery, thats all.

imo for competition a cap is more then worth the money.
