well i see many people use computer monitors in their car and hook it up to their dvd player. i am wondering if anyone knows what cable is needed to do this. i am not talking about the people who have carpc's in their car i am not that dumb or that much of a noob. i actually install sound for a living lol. so any help would be very appreciative. i have helped many on here and now i need help so please return the favor.

a converter, you might be able to find one at an electronics store...

it depends on what the dvd will and can output as well... if it outputs s-video, that's great... get a s-video to VGA (or whatever cable the monitor uses) converter.. if rca, not as great, but there are rca to vga or dvi converters.

i went to bestbuy and radioshack today. they said they have nothing like that. i know it exists because i hear from people thats what is in their car. do you have a pic of that it may look like. and by the way thanks for your help and anyone elses help in advance.

or just look at the xenarc 700ts with av inputs. it has a composite video in so that should be able to hook up right into your dvd player

thanks everyone for the help. god im glad i got somewhere to turn when i need help. i went ahead and ordered one off ebay. i hope it works like it is suppose to. i will have pics up very soon of my car. and thanks to all who helped.
