I'm wanting to replace my Pioneer 12" with a better sub so I'm looking to either A) one ED 13Ov.2 (13", 600watt RMS) or B) two ED 11Kv.2 (11", 300 watt RMS). Which would hit harder? My Kenwood amp can push 300 watts x 2 or 600 watts x 1 bridged RMS. Also, I was considering getting a RF 12" sub that does 600 watts RMS but the "body" of the sub is bigger than the ED sub.

depends on what sort of box they are going in, the install itself, powering issues, and your musical tastes. what sounds good to others may not sound good to you and vis versa, as far as ed goes cant answer your question sorry. i can tell you that i have a3 audio crystal 8's in a small ported box and they rock better than the three 12's i had before, hope this helps

Regarding which is going to be louder, I'd say the 2 11Kv.2's would take the edge, but just slightly. And like J said...all install dependant.

Regarding the RF sub pieces, I'm pretty sure it's just a fancy basket.

 

Ahh alright. I'll most likely go with 2 11Kv.2's with your custom box. I'm a rap/bass-loving guy so I want it to sound nice and clean, any suggestions on the kind of box to get?

I'd say ported, tuned around 30ish would be the best for ya.

And we're working on getting the box builder back up.

The guy that was building boxes got a job that actually had to do w/ what he went to college for, and it's a bit soon to have the new guy building them already.
