The whistler pro-58.

Now i'm not going to lie, it gives a lot of falses, but it has saved my butt PLENTY of times. Not that i'm really a speeder, I do 10 over the limit, but the range on that thing is incredible. It alerted me to a cop so far away that I thought after a while that it was a false, but the signal grew and grew and guess what was waiting around the bend. Luckily, I listened to it. It has great range. Thats why it was recommended by the radar busters lol. Although it gives a lot of falses, it does a great job. For the $75 I paid new, its a heck of a deal.

This is how i've done it. It's simple and it doesn't jack up the center console by putting the wire behind it.

i was thinking about going through the defroster, but i got halfway and found out how much of a pain in the *** it was to even bother... and i dont think i had enough cord. but it would deffinately look a lot cleaner

and spect2k3

I believe I got it for like $75. They seem to be going for more like $90 now since they've grown in popularity.

Again, it gives a lot of falses, so expect that, b/c the detector is VERY sensative. Of course though, that also very much works in YOUR favor...

if i were to HW it to the sunroof controls and all do you think the radar will still get a signal if i were to have the top 4 ins of the windshield tinted 50% to conceal it from the front of the car? maybe im just stupid.

I've got mine mounted up in the top left corner of my windshield with something like a 30% tint up there and haven't seen any problems with it influencing the radar (not sure it would - pretty sure radar =/= light).

On a side-note, I ran the power cord from the corner of the windshield left into that column along the edge of the door, down under the dash, and over to the cigarette lighter for a completely hidden wire that turns on/off with the car - I love it!

You can buy a thinner power cord online for sure. The cig lighter area looks stock. The whole point is that the cig lighter is usable and free. When everything is put together, the cig lighter area looks stock and is usable

Anything that gets in the way of the detector will influence it's range. It will still work, but maybe slightly less effective than it would be if it had a free look. According to radarbusters, it is best to mount the detector LOW.

i saw this nutzo one at a shop that can be rigged into your front and rear bumpers, scrambles the lasar and essentially creates a force field around your car. that is awesome on all levels.
sorry to thread jack, i just love the idea of a force field around my car...
