You need either a race seat with a high back and holes above shoulder level for the harnesses (and support for them), or you need a harness bar behind the seats. The point at which the seatbelt passes over before being bolted down behind you should never be lower than your shoulders. If it is, when you run into something, the belt pulls back and down rather than just back.. compressing your spine and causing injury.

Frankly, unless you are doing a type of racing you need them for, I wouldnt install them. While those are a better brace than the stock belts, they also dont allow you to move around and have no pretentioners like the stock system does.

I have thought of getting one for my driver side, but for autox only. And the only reason is to hold me firmly in the seat so I am not bracing with my legs while turning. But even with the low risk of collision in autox, I still am leary of doing it without a harness bar behind me.

Ok. I have racing seats. Sparcos... so from my shoulders to the holes where the harness goes in the seats.. that angle has to be level? like from my shoulders to the holes?

But its still ok to have the seat belts go from the seat backs to the rear seats to mount them?

Nope like engifineer said get a harness bar for it. On top of that a roll cage. Take this scenario for instant you have the 5point harness on, you roll your car, what happens to you?
