any one here know if the center console hvac control panel has anything to do with the cars computer? I had to replace the control panel where the a/c control is and when i plugged it in it started to make my car stutter and my check engine light came on ontop of that the new control panel doesnt turn on so i just put the old one back on.

 

find out what the CEL was and go from there. autozone has scan tools. just get the small one.

Not sure how it would effect the cars ECU directly.. but there can always be indirect effects if you replace something. I would have to have more info... but, did you put an 07 board in an 05/06, or vice-versa? Because those two definitely will not work together.
