HVAC Compatibility?
im having this same problem...
i bought a used "05-06" hvac to replace my LCD i cracked while doing my led swap....but when i got it, i plugged it in to make sure the lcd worked and none of the lights would come on or anything...and the only thing that would show up on the lcd is the time. are all the lcds the same if swapped out or are they specific to each different hvac unit?

If you end up not using that HVAC I'll buy it off you depending on the price. I have an 07 and my HVAC is on the fritz. A internal circuit path broke on the left side so the light doesn't work sometimes when I turn my headlights on. I have to push the off for the A/C really hard to get the light to come on. PM me if your interested.

^^ you know you can just fix that right?
as far as the lcd.. you can remove it from the old unit and install it into the new one.
the '08+ tCs' lcds are different from the previous years though.

Yep, LCD is compatible but not the HVAC.
And I have a thread for the HVAC lighting issue on the 07. Simple fix to perform.

I would fix it soon just in case the transistor that causes it comes completely off. The one on the unit I used to figure out the issue was barely hanging on.
