HVAC Led Mod Issue
Just finished changing out the LEDs on my HVAC and ran into a strange problem. I have a lot of soldering experience, and have already done my gauges and window controls. Nothing different was done to the HVAC.
The problem? Almost all of the LEDs are dim by comparison. The backlight LEDs for the front and rear defog buttons are at full brightness, as are the accompanying indicator lights for every button. Also, the LEDs surrounding the climate control potentiometer are at full brightness. However, the LCD backlighting LEDs and the other button backlighting LEDs are all much dimmer than they should be.
I checked the PCB board for stray solder, none to be found. I checked all of my solder joints, and even swapped one of the dim leds with one of the bright ones. No change, which mean's it's either another solder joint or something with the board. The stock LEDs were certainly at full brightness when I checked them before.
Tomorrow I will check all of my solder joints again. In the mean time, any ideas?

DID YOU READ THE HOW TO ON HERE?
You have to modify circuitry on the HVAC board to match up the brightness to other areas and the console...
PM engifineer and he'll get you a schematic.
