Default I need help!!!

Okay I just recently replaced my stock front and rear speakers with 6.5 infinity pefrect in front and 5 1/4 in the back. Before i used to play songs with bass and it would sound pretty good with my stock speakers, it would actually bump a little. Now all i have is highs and no bump at all it's weird... are the infinities just highs only and not even a lil bump??? Thx guys, im newb. Also, theyre powered with the infinity amp. Power Output 111 watts RMS x 4 channel at 4 ohms and ≤ 1% THD + N 278 watts RMS x 2 channel at 4 ohms, 14.4V supply and ≤ 1% THD + N
Signal-to-Noise Ratio 81dBA (reference 1 watt into 4 ohms)
Dynamic Power 164 watts at 2 ohms

you need to run wires and straight to an amp....normally speakers of that nature or any speakers in the front of the car you should only listen to highs and leave the bass to a sub

when you put aftermarket speakers in your car they are almost always used to hear the hiighs over your sub. simple solution, get a couple 8 inch subs and throw em in the floor of the trunk. you'll be good to go.

Welcome to the world of Infinity. I had those same speakers in my old car. You will get some extra bass after the speakers break in. Th thing is Infinity tweaters are much louder then the mid bass speakers. You have to run a subwoofer to really even out the sound.

Yea the Basslink is pretty nice for the size. I had the clear one in my last car. I was going to use it for this one but some how the thing broke when I had it sitting in my storage room.

check your crossovers on the amp!!!!! the High Pass (HPF) should be set to about 60Hz... maybe 80Hz... no more than that though...

also, most aftermarket speakers are less sensitive because they're more "hefty" and generally don't react as much to power input....

best option here is make sure your amp is set correctly and get a sub..

It is there because the same head unit goes in the xA, xB, and tC. Its versatile and is cheaper for Toyota and the consumer to have a universal head unit.

each setting has different equalization characteristics to give "optimum" sound for the interior dimentions/speaker placement for each car... I still think they got them all mixed up though...
