let's see...not auto dimmming tints i want to control mine so at a show you can turn it down to 3 or 5 and when the cop comes up you put it to 35 or 50 depending on ur state

heated AND tinted side mirrors

6th gear please

the compass on the autodimming mirror would have been nice

A PLACE FOR MY PURSE (so you boys are no longer bothered in the passenger seat and i can have easy access to my wallet at tolls)

i want my car to fold up into a 5lb laptop size box so i dont have to look for parking or worrry about vandalism

backseats should go all the way back so you can sleep and/or recline

yes the back brake light needs to flash all the way or get rid of the extra space, clean up the taillight design to look more bmw-ish (no yellow please)

a button inside to unlock the trunk instead of having to lock then unlock all doors, ditto on the beep so i KNOW my car is locked

solar power please + 500 hp (well maybe not for the tC but you asked for ideas)

i'll let you knwo what else i can think of...anything is possible right? i posted almost the same exact thread on the sickotics page and asked for a door with no handle and then saw that UA had a car at the washington auto show with that feature so...i guess a lot of stuff is already possible with customization...but make that place for my purse and my car fold up with those controlled tints and i'll be a happy customer =)

Well, I guess a lot of these are wishful thoughts... maybe it could be incorporated into some type of Toyota, but I some of this blends into the Scion philosophy.

What would I like to see that I think Scion might be able to implement?

Hmm... there are some good ideas in this thread.

1) MAYBE a sixth gear. The reason I say maybe is because a sixth gear won't magically give you lower RPMs like I think some people might be expecting. The ratios will be closer on all the other gears so you'll have to shift more and you can't accelerate as much in a single gear. I kind of like the gearing as it is right now, but I agree highway cruising isn't the best as far as mileage goes.

2) Fiber optics in the headliner! :D

3) REAL Aluminum accents would be nice, but I know this is hard to do as metal expands/contracts with weather. PRobably not feasible.

4) I agree on maybe two inches more headroom in the rear. I know this car isn't really made for passengers, but sometimes I get tired of my passenger's complaints. Maybe an "EJECT PASSENGER" button is a better idea

5) Classy puddle lamps

6) As a solution for the ladies' purses, maybe Lexus-esque mesh bags (should be removable).

7) Tire PSI information should be available via a readout on the dash or somewhere on the console. It's already available to the computer, so I don't think this is a big stretch to ask for.

Full third brake light. This really shouldn't add too much more to costs, but of course, I don't know anything about manufacturing LED-equipped lighting. I'm sure over thousands of units it might get expensive due ot LED failures and the such.

I want the sunvisors to extend out, like if the sun was on the driver side and i move the sunvisor over there but the sun is farther back than the visor can reach, just give it a little pull and hey look at that the sun is no longer in my face. my company car has this and i think it is the greatest thing about the car. This feature cant cost that much.

Full 3rd brake
Projectors
Power seats (maybe heated even)

Since we have an all glass roof, it would be nice if there were solar panels integrated that ran interior fans that vented to the outside to cool the car during hot days, just like the Benz E classes

You mean tipronic controls. Yea toyota is behind on that. Only a couple cars that those controls. I only know about the Celica GTS. Hondas probably way ahead of Toyota when it comes to the Tipronic Market.

That is an AMAZING idea. Wow. They should prolly make the glass up there shatter resistant as well ...

Oh! I just thought of some more and they are pratical even.

-Glovebox light
-Cubby hold light that dims or can be turned off
-Vanity mirror lights
-Better trunk light ... or one on the other side maybe?
-Either auto dimming side mirrors or the blue tinted ones like on some BMWs and VWs that reduce glare

tiptronic transmission with padel shifters hee hee, I personally would love to see something along the lines of a sport package, like the SI version of the civic...beefed up engine, suspension, stuff like that...and how about a DUAL SUNROOF! everyone gets in and they're like "what this back one doesn't open?"

Perhaps something to give slightly better visibility from the wide A-pillars. I know they are wide in order to brace the expanse of glass that is our roof, but perhaps if a section of the center of the A-Pillar could be split (a section 2.5 inches wide and 6-9 inches tall) and filled in with a very strong, fleixble and clear material, it would be helpful....prolly look ugly from the exterior though

Oh yeah, and shave the antenna altogether, and do it xB style along the edge of the rear moonroof.
