Default Ignition Switch/push button start question??

I like the idea of a push button start even if i do have to have the keys in the ignition. But i want to use a momentary toggle switch on the switch panel like race cars instead of a push button.

Does anyone know what kind of switch i need to get and how to wire it in? Dont know if i need a SPDT or SPST, etc.

Would something like this work?

you need a switch that is "off " but when pressed it is" on "than "off" again when you release it!!! dont know the tech term!

more likely a push button switch of some sort im guessing since its called a push button start!

make sure switch is capable of using the amps you need or just add a relay!

A few people have done it,
The button is quite helpful, the link to the guy that has done it is here:

I recommend using the Pivot Switch, there is also the Ignited Switched, and there are few other ones on eBay.

way to be a smart a$$ with the "search button" haha, just playing. I saw that article but its not what i was wanting. I think thats what i will end up doing but what i wanted was like a momentary blade toggle switch that when you switch it up the car starts, like in drag cars and such. I think i would have to make a relay though and thats just to much work for my lazy butt. Thanks for the suggestions on push button starts though.

I've always wanted to put the search button in a reply, something to do before I die, lol. Anyway, there are a few racing style switches, with a battery cutoff as well.
