Default I'm really starting to dislike this car.

So my girl and me jump in the tC to make a quick run to the supermarket. its a short ride less the 10 minutes down the road. We are listing to the radio like we always do. Get to the supermarket everything is fine. We go in get what we need, get back into the car. I change the station on the radio (Sirius ) . I put the car in revers to back out of the parking spot. I then shift into 1st gear my foot slips off the clutch (my foot is wet from stepping on some snow.) the car jumps a bit but doesn't stall . When this happens my front speakers just go out. WTF. I'm thinking lose wire, but this shouldn't be. The car didn't jerk that much. I then start hearing a buzzing noise coming from the front passenger side speaker. So I shut off the radio. and drive back home. When I get home I turn the radio back on and all the speakers come on for about 3 seconds. then the front ones turn off again. I turned the car off and come back up to our apt. I'll check the radio and speakers tomorrow.

Has this happened to you ? radio and speakers are stock.

I'm really getting tired of all the electrical problems I'm having with the tC. This has made it official for me. I am done with scion. when it is time for my to get another car I won't be coming back to the scion family of cars.

Sorry for the long post I just had to vent. It hasn't been a really good week for me. Thank you for taking the time to read.

why don't you check around the driver side area for some loose wires or something?

when your foot slipped off the clutch, is it possible that you could have pulled a wire or something loose or off and that is why your having electrical problems?

that could be a possibility, but I highly doubt this. I have no lose wires under the dash. and the way I place my foot on the clutch pad, only a small part of my foot touches the clutch pad. my heal is on the foot rest. When my foot slipped it barely moved

you till have warranty? Might be able to have it fixed under that. Also - with all those problems couldn't you technically argue the lemon law since so many critical things on the car have failed? (i.e. the airbags deploying and the ecu frying?)

sorry to hear your having such a bad experience with your car =(..if it makes you feel any better my lower grill fell off yesterday..i was able to save it but I think the tabs are all busted...

no i don't have the warrenty for electrical anymore. I just have the extended power train warranty.

well this morning when I took my girl to work. I turned on the radio and everything worked with no problem. I checked all the speakers. moved the vol to front right. then front left. the rear right and rear left. and they all worked. I have know idea what that could have been. maybe I passed through some cosmic radio wave that through my speakers out of whack.

you said you were listening to sirius when it happened??

how about the possibly that the sirius was either knocked loose or that for a brief moment you lost satellite reception?

i never had any electrical problems...and the harnesses for headlights dont come off because they snap into the bulb...somehow i doubt these problems are due to lack of quality. maybe its your modifications that are leading to these problems.

No it wasn't the harness coming lose from the bulb. it was the wire from the fuse block going to the harness that had a defect.

My old GTO used to have starting issues when my girlfriend and I would fight......it was like the car was possessed......it would not start no matter what till I talked to it and rubbed the dash and told her it was ok.........she fired right up.........

My guess is my girlfriend was a rhymes with Itch and the car knew it.......lol

Glad to hear you got your problem fixed though Mac.
