Default Is this important

Well i did a big search and i still couldn't find this part. Just wondering if this is really important or not?

well i mean it looks like its just supposed to hold up the floor. thus i don't think its important. its not really attached to anything behind it. Just want to know if other people took it off

Circle the part you're talking about using MS paint or the likes.

I would guess he is talking about the metal piece with what looks like a bolt hole in it under the loom in the middle of the pic. I say remove it and see what happens, if the car falls apart then put it back in, LoL....

Does the plastic panel lock in- to (with a push pin) that metal piece? If it dosent then take it out. Just make sure that nothing uses that for support or locks in to it.

No, im pretty sure that is a structural part, to hold to pieces of the body.

The Toyota designers put lots of those since we don't have a solid roof, the rigidity of the body needs to be at the floor level.

i took both of those out of my hatch to make room for the box and it has nothing to do with the structural integrity of the car. it is there simply as a holster for a cargo net or tie down of some kind...thats about it.

i took them completely out for good. it didn't hurt anything at all. all it is...is a bolt down for the anchor for a cargo net or tie downs. here is the setup that i have...
