In a few weeks i want to purchase and indash screen. I know there are alot of types out there so im hoping you can all help me. Im looking for a touchscreen, either pop-up or indash, that has external A/V plugs, you can use the steering wheel controls, and has ipod compatible (and if possible Ipod video). A def. plus would be with bluetooth. like i said i dont care if its pop-up or indash, though im pretty sure pop-up is cheaper. Just want to see what i can get for what price. pics would be great. thanks alot in advance for the help everyone.

im buying that one in a week or so. I know i can spend a few more hundred and get the AVIC-D3 that everyones getting, but i have no need for navigation.

as for as what you are looking for, most are touch screen, and for anything else, for some extra money, you can add to it with ipod cables and stuff

one of the ones i was looking at is the Jensen VM9512 . its a touchscreen pop-up, with bluetooth, ipod capable (though i dont think u can play ipod video), and has an external wireless device with the A/V inputs. Im also no sure if u can make this work with the Steering wheel controls. Does anyone know if u can?

i bought the kenwood ddx-7019 from overstock.com for $817 shipped. i love it. it works flawlessly. the kna-g510 nav unit that attaches is plug and play and was bought at etronics.com for $480. i added the bt100 (bluetooth unit) for $150 and it works/sounds better for both parties than the handset. oh yeah. the steering wheel remote works great! got the peripheral swijack thingy. prgrammed successfully on 2nd try. well worth it.


oh yeah. forgot to say, mine is ipod video capable, usb device capable, has external input and output. the downside is that i cant get the door down easily.... kinda stays open like 5mm or so.

if you want a nice sub down the road the eclipse is the way to go (5v pre out!)

Oh and it also supports the sirius traffic, so it can re-route you if there is traffic (in the supported areas)
