Is it possible to hook up subs and a amp to the stock head unit in a 07 Tc? and if so how exactly would i do so? i know how to run all the other wire just don't know how to connect it to the headunit

 

u buy a pac adaptor and tap them into the harness behind the radio (the speaker wire) n the pac adaptor has the rca jacks for the amp .. you just have to find out wat color the speaker wire is

 

it is also known as a Line out converter that taps into your speaker feeds (usually the rear speakers) then to turn on the amp you would tap (i think its the) grey out of the harness from the deck (it should be a 12V+ switched (only goes on when the cars on)). the LOC will give you the RCAs for the signal for the amp. there are also a buncho threads on here too if you have more questions. good luck!

 

So for the LOC, I should splice into the rear R and L speakers and for the amp turn-on I should splice it into the grey wire?

I ran all the wires and installed everything except for the amp turn on and LOC. I went to best buy and they said they were going to charge 54.99 to install those two, but I figured I can try to do it myself.

 

54? damn thats expensive. lol. look in the scion FAQ site.. it should give you the wire diagram of which wire does what. i do have a good feeling its the grey wire.
