Install question - never done this before
Right now I have an Alpine 9815. How hard would it be for me to replace this with the IVA-W200? I've never installled anything before so I'm pretty clueless about the whole thing. Normally I have a shop do this stuff so it gets done right.
It depends how comfortable you are taking your car apart, searching for particular wires, using a multimeter, so on and so forth.
I don't know if the IVA-W200 has a box you have to mount somewhere else, but you have to take that into consideration as well if it does.

Well, we all started somewhere. If you took your time, had tools, and at least get a wiring harness for that unit, it isn't very hard.
The only hard part about doing stereos is making sure you don't cut corners and start ghetto'ing your stuff up because you didn't want to solder, cleanly tie cables/wires, pull out the console pieces and properly hide wires, etc.
I never thought installing a stereo was hard, it just requires patience to do the job right.
