Mine closes and sits fine, I honestly don't close it that often and I'm not going to cut up the car to make something work.

 

i keep mine closed just to make sure people wont try and break in...even tho everyone around me knows i have a 2 way alarm and a .40 cal...i just like to cover my butt

I close mine all the time too. Can't be too cautious about it. But it looks good man. Glad you got the door working, it would bug the hell out of me if my door wasn't in.

 

yeah I wanted the door there so it was "correct" if I am in a uncomfortable area I close the lid, but really a stock tC doesn't attract much attention from anyone either.

 

I just don't have that "stock" look you could say.

Nice Install...an indash Double Din is still one of my favorite mods to date...of course finding new maps has been horrible but that could be a whole other thread lol

Well I ordered some new parts on friday that should hopefully either be arriving late this week or next week.

I have a Alpine MRD-M1005 Amplifier so I ordered a new box and 2 Alpine SWS-1023D 10" subwoofers

Does the top thing fit over the box?

 

It can sit ontop but it won't clip into place. Thats my biggest dissapointment.

Yes it would, but it's okay even if it isn't there. Doesn't really bother me that it's not.
