Default Interior Lighting Problem

So I have swapped my guages, front dome lights, and the HVAC controls. Today, I tried putting in my cubby light and the rear dome light and now, the rear dome light doesnt work, the front dome lights dont work. Can anyone tell me what happened/what to do? Thanks

Never raise to a higher value when the fuse blows. You probably just inadvertantly shorted something and blew the fuse. That one I believe will be in the fuse box under the dash.

Sounds like I was mis-leading you I would have guessed this one was under the dash. At least it is easier to get to under the hood :D

I hate the fuses on our car... You cant just go into autozone and get one cuz theyre so damn small. I had to go to the dealership and order fuses... took a week to get em in. TO much damn work to replace a fuse.

i got it fixed. i took it in to the dealership actually because i was in the area. the service department replaced the 7.5A with a 10A and he said that 2.5A difference isnt gonna do anything. Is he wrong?

When I blew one of my fuses, I just went to Pep Boys and got lots of extra fuses. Weird.

Cause a potential for fire to name one thing. I love the "knowledgeable" people in some dealerships.. but I am sure he had an ASE patch on his sleeve

2.5A is not a huge difference, but the fuses are sized according to circuit design, so upping them just because something blew is not the best practice. I would just find the right size and replace it. 2.5A at 14V is a 35W difference, which is actually significant enough when it comes to the upper rating of components.

^^ what he said..

also... despite the lack of the low profile mini-fuses at any autostore..

the usual mini-fuses will still work.... they just stick out. it's fine for under the hood fuse box..

but for the under the dash fuse box? it'll suck as you won't be able to put the plastic cover back on..

but yeah.. those fuses work fine... fyi.

My fuses blowned out a couple of times, I went to AutoZone and purchased a replacement. AutoZone have what you need, no need for the dealership
