You will need several things to do it proper. I went with 14 gauge wire, an add-a fuse, a switch from Lowes. I wired the add a fuse to a 2 foot length of 14 gauge wire. ran the wire to the switch's power in. ran the power wire from the leds to the other post on the switch. found a good metal touching bolt for the ground. plugged in fuses for the add a switch and plugged it in the fuse box. put the switch into the dash and I was done. This was an xb install but it is the same for the tc. about 15 bucks in parts and it is a clean professional looking install.

You should also get terminal connectors and make sure to have electrical tape readily available. it took me about 10 minutes to install. Most of that was threading wires through the dash for the switch.

I used the cigarette lighter for a power source for mine. Grounded to a bolt near the bottom left of the dash.

I mounted with double sided 3m tape.
I think some others used zip ties...

I used the fuse space from my break lights used the add-a-fuse so they have constant power. Can switch them on or off even when the car is off.
