Interior Sanding Question (Oper8r's way or FLEA's way)
So I have been searching and I have found two ways to do this.....
Oper8r's way by using this method:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6891
(220, 400, 600 grit, sand sand sand, primer, paint, clear coat)
or FLEA's way
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=215911
(Use 600 grit, then 1000/1500 grit then paint and clear coat)
Which is the beset way to do this? I am having a hard time trying to figure out which way will give the best look. Thanks!

If you're going to use primer then you're going to want to go with the first one. I would at least use adhesion promoter like Bulldog. I'm going to be doing mine like the first with automotive paint. I don't know what the first guy used because i'm on my phone and can't open two windows but yeah, either way is going to turn out fine as long as you prep it first and wetsand if any imperfections arise. Good luck!
I am thinking about doing it FLEA's way. But what are people doing for paint is my question. Usually I go to my old job cause they have a paint mixing booth and mix my paint into an aerosol can. But are people using aerosal or an actual HVLP gun?
I just painted a bunch of my dash/center peice white yesterday.
I just went to home depot, and bought a little foam sanding block, I'm not sure of the grit, but it was pretty fine. I I didn't sand it to the bone, just enough to where you know the paint will stick. Even after running the sand paper over it about twice, you can feel a big difference than the way it was before.
After that, I put a few coats of paint over that, then I let it dry for a long while. Then I put a couple coats of clear coat over it just in case. I still have to put another clear over it tonight...
So pretty much, sand it, dust it, paint it, and wait. THEN clear coat.
Go slow, trust me. This is not one of the things you'll want to rush though.
