The local shop is going to install a system for 915 and heres what I'm getting

Alpine basic headunit with ipod connector
one US Amps MD1D amp
one Alpine Type-R 12" sub
along with box, wires and etc.

my friends say its a good price and some say its a fair price, what do you guys think?

Doesn't sound bad I suppose, but I would go with a Double Din head unit. Get you a tv man!

Oh and its a fair price, good deal when you dont have to worry about doing it yourself. (but there is no feeling like a DIY)

^^^Well my tc is pretty new and I don't really trust myself enough to install a system. Last time I let my friend install a hu on my integra, the lights on the dash board went out. So yea I'll leave it to the professionals

Alpine - CDE-9872 $120 + 2yr warranty - $130
US Amps MD1D - $450 + 2yr warranty - $493
(this amp has also been discontinued)
Alpine Type-R - $119 + 2yr warranty- $128.50
All wires + box - $120 (box with bracing)
Total without warranty-$809
Total with warranty-$871.50
Labor with lifetime install warranty-$43.50-$106

Sounds good considering (hopefully) they build you the box just for you and the time it takes to partially gut your car to run all the wiring stealthily.

Price isn't too shabby. The tC comes apart like LEGOS. You could probably do the whole install in a day. But if you don't trust yourself, then definitely let a capable person do the install. Word of advice; ask if the shop has done installs on tCs before. You don't want your NEW tC to be their guinea pig.

whoaa wish i had that kind of money for a system. I had my stuff installed at circuit city and cartoys. Both were good places and both stores had ppl who worked on tcs before so that was good for me.

it depends, if their building the box, if that price includes the cost of the radio and sub and amp etc... basically if your supplying everything but the wires (box included) that install shouldnt be more than 150, at my shop it would be about 120, now if your buying the radio and such from them as well.. thats a different story, im not gonna look up the cost on all thoes pieces individually, but you get the idea...

Price is not too bad really.........may want a DDin deck but that can come inthe future......

My install parts wise is over $2500 and I am installing this week myself......large part is in the Edead and wires...........that alone was over $500........

Your install will sound good once it is done and is easily upgradeable.........post up photos when it is done .........
