Default ipod connected to aux port???

hey i have a video idop and i was wondering if there is a cable i could buy that i can connect from my ipod to the aux port and use it. im not really good with these kinds of things. i was just wondering is it that easy?? im not even really sure what the aux port is i just figured i could find a cable hook my ipod into it and start using my ipod in the car without a fricken transmitter. thanks a lot guys any help would be greatly appreciated.

aux input is just a standard 3.5 mm plug

3.5 mm plug is your standard headphone plug. So basically all you need is a "3.5 mm male-to-male connector." That's it

You should be able to pick one up reallllly cheap from your local radio shack or other small electronics store

just go to a radio shack/walmart/kmart/where ever. i bet you could even get one at a food store.
