Default iPod console cable pinouts

Does anyone have the pintouts for the iPod console cable? (P/N PT546-21061, the one that connects to harness under shifter, and terminates in the center console). I have one half of the cable (socket end with iPod connector) and trying to splice it into the harness under the shifter. I have the pinouts for the harness.

Even something like "pin1 on socket end connects to pin2 on harness connector end on console cable" would do the trick, for all 13 wires.. If anyone has a console cable handy, you'd have the info right there, and I'd send you a gift certificate to your local brewery!!

Please help

I ended up giving up and purchased the console cable from Toyota today for $100 (I figured I've purchased the 08 headunit for $220, with another $100 investment I'm s till way under what Toyota would've charged for a new unit). Big price to pay for a cable, especially since I've had to butcher it and splice it onto the harness still, because I had cut off the harness connecter in a previous attempt to make my own console cable. Long story short, while going through the pains of splicing in the shielded wires, it suddenly made sense why these cables are so expensive. I've always assumed that "shielded" meant that the rx/tx wires are just better insulated or something. In reality, there's a wire mesh on top of the wire jacket, which is then insulated again, the mesh being grounded by a third wire going back to the harness (so major pain to splice). Bottom line is that my iPod is kicking butt now, sound quality is awesome, lot better than throuh the AUX. Tradeoff is that you can only control the iPod from the headunit while it's connected, which is pretty clumsy when trying to search for a song in your 1000+ song stash.

I'm gonna have engi splice mine so I can plug an aftermarket headunit into the stock wiring to make it look nice and clean. My electrical skills suck but I'm sure engi will do a great job. Have to wait until October though.

If I wasn't lazy I would do this since I am changing H/U anyways. Depends on whats going on..but I might post it up for the heck of it or at least try to.

Of course Engi's will most likely be more thorough or likely more correct.

Should be easy with this info..

O4 plugs into the back of the headunit. The wires to O3 are what the diagram above it explains.

After that..just match the wiring of O4 to the wiring of the O3 dock connectors listed on those sites.

Someone could make a few bucks if they were able to find the connector and had a steady soldering hand!

Default Scion interface cables

There are usually some of these cables for sale on ebay.
They connect to the rear of the head unit (on ipod compatible headunits) and connect directily to the iPod.
They are listed under "SC12235"
The seller also sells (if contacted) the cable that connects to the rear of the head unit (on iPod compatible headunits) that connects to the PT546-21061 cable that mounts into the console.[/u]

Default Scion interface cables

I am not the person selling them.
The person (company) selling them does some work for the company that I work for.
In fact, it was I, that did the research on the cables and convinced him to manufacture them.
His company had the parts access and the special tools for the connectors.
If you have any questions about them, I can probabily answer them.

Default Scion connector wiring

the designations are ipod interface functions that allow the ipod and headunit to communicate, select tunes, display songs, artists, and suply charging power for the iPod.
All 13 of the connector wires are required for all of the function to work.
This schematic only shows the wires in the factory harness.
I think that some of the pin numbers get swapped going through the 20161 and 20162 cables..
