No... no one has ever connected any iPhone to these stereos... ever. And you could never find any results by searching. Ever.

I thought it was humorous... yes.

I did that b/c you appeared to have made ZERO attempt to search for anything like this. I could understand if you searched, didn't find much and at least stated that you read something about it and searched a little. Even the site rules state that you will search before posting a new thread.

I just searched for iPhone specifically in the ICE/Interior thread and found this gem:
https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ghlight=iphone

I'm really not trying to be a dick, even if I came across that way. You just appeared to have made zero effort on your own part to find the answer.... which is annoying.

I did... Also I believe this is the reason for this forum right. This forum is part of my search.

GASP!

Look what I found.

https://www.scionlife.com/forums/vie...ghlight=iphone

And to make things even better, that guy has an 06.

It took me approx 7 seconds to find that thread, 3 of those 7 seconds were load times.

iphone 3g or original?

if it's the original the 2006 HU will both charge & play the music just fine, like any other ipod, works great and no you don't have to enter airplane mode for it to work, when the warning pops up press 'no' and then just navigate on your HU like you did with any other ipod or w/e

BUT

if it's a 3G, then it will play your music but it will NOT CHARGE!
This part sucked for me, so I found an easy fix for it.

http://www.amazon.com/Kensington-333...9965964&sr=8-1

is what you need, it's the only way to fix this problem aside from buying a USB charging ipod HU, which is a whole lot more than the 15$ the above thing costs, and if the whole 'two connectors into one phone is too big' thing bugs you, i reccomend you buy an ipod extension cable from CableJive, google 'em (i have the extension cable and I rewired my ipod and car charger from the arm rest cubby so all the wiring is under my cup holders now and my ipod cable is like 4ft now instead of 1/2 like the stupid short oem one.)

Yep. I have an 07 tc with the optional radio that has the ipod adapter and I have had both the old iPhone(which worked flawlessly) and the new one, which still works great, and has great audio quality, but it dosn't charge. I've just been living with it but that kinsington thing seems like a good idea.

Sorry to go off topic, but has anyone seen the iPhone app that lets you dyno your car? Not that I'd expect it to be that accurate but thats an awesome idea
