Ipod Nano in tC
Is it worth spending an extra $20 or so to use the dock connector wire as apposed to a ‘mini jack to rca’ cable which uses the headphones jack instead?
My main concern is that when I listen to my iPod nano w/ headphones sometimes one earphone won't play music as loud as the other one, or won’t play it at all. For those of you who have hooked up your iPod via your headphone jack, have you noticed any loss of sound quality?
Thanks in advance.

Greg,
Technically speaking, using the line out is better as it's a non-clipped signal...I'm pretty sure the amplified headphone out can clip.
As far as the signal going in and out...are you sure the wires in the headphones are good/plug is all the way in...that'll do it.

Thank you for the quick reply Mandos.
I'm pretty sure the reason i experienced loss of sound quality was because the headphones wire easily moves around. And while in my car, i'm sure its gonna be moving around.
So my best bet would be just to buy the dock connector wire i guess? Or maybe i can try the mini jack to rca cables being that its pretty cheap. If it works fine, great. If not. then i'll buy the dock connector wire.

It might sound fine, you might want to use the line out...In my Neon I had my iPod going into the receiver using the regular output..was fine. I broke the iPod before buying the line out though
