somebody is offering me a sub woofer MTX 18" for 300 not including the box. with the box, its 400 and its been used. do you guys think its a good deal? the subs can handle about 1200 watts so please reply back.

18 Inch?

You don't need anything more than a 15 in any scion setup.....

I didn't know there was an 18 inch MTX currently available...

 

well its a total of 18 incher the cone in the middle is 15 inches then the rubber stuff i dont know wat u call it is another 3 inches so when it hits it will travel a total of 3 iches outward. just trying to make sure i dont get screwed.

This has a price new for lots of different models... depends on which model...

 

so if it is the correct model posted on that site, i should get it, it has a 1000-1200 watt capacity that it can handle so i think its the top one. how much would you pay for it?

 

I think 100 for the box is a little steep... but if the speaker is the same model... then you'd save a few bucks definately by getting it off him....

My brother got 2 12s of that same kind for $350 w/the box. and apparently he got a crazy good deal. so i would also say that you are getting a good deal......

if it is the 5500, it's a ripoff..... take the sub out of the box and see what model it is...

 

I'd say u could spend ur money more WISELY...IMO
