ipod video with indash question
hey question....just curious is there anyway to have videos on an ipod and connect it to the car so they can play through the indash, so that i can play the video through the screen?
It will work with Pioneer Units. All you need is the optional IPOD cable and it plugs into the back of the unit. It will play audio through the headunit and you can mess with it on the actuall headunit.
On Video it will play audio and video through the headunit, but you have to select the video by actually using the ipod itsself. Kinda weird, but it works.

for avics D3 and N4 it will work as nick06tc said.. for D1,D2,N1, N2,N3 AVH6800 and so on... you will need to get a cable that has the high speed port cable on one end... so it plugs into your ipod... then on the other end it have your standard AV jacks... red, white and yellow... plug this into your AV in on the back of your head unit... you will have to control your movies from the ipod.. but it works...
It would only work the with z1/z2 if you got a composite A/V iPod cable, and then a Composite A/V into the Z1/Z2 and you would control the video entirely from the iPod, but thats how moist headunits are anyway...
A lot of the Jensen and Duals do iPod video, the VM9021ts from Jensen does for sure

hmm i just got a generic A/V composite cable for my ipod touch, I connected it to my avic z1, im disappointed cause it doesnt play the video but just the sound. Anyone with the z1/z2 tried to play video through the ipod? Im gonna have to try again though, gonna make sure I connected the right wires, but im gonna have to take out the whole unit and see whats up
