I just got a new xB and i put the OEM HU into my friends i believe 06 TC he has volume control and all it also has the plug for the ipod. when i plug it in everything works fine other then the AUX. when i plug in my mp3 player the deck doesnt pick it up. also for the ipod there is it own harness for it. it split to 4 parts.

1. harness that plugs to the back of the HU
2. harness that goes by the ebrake to goes to the plug in the armrest
3. plug inside armrest
4. link cable to the ipod

I was wondering if anyone has an extra #2 harness

 

you either have both the ipod and aux plugs or just the aux, some 06 did come and did not come with both plugs but it should be working fine without a problem.

read his post again... he's missing the pigtail cable for the tC he's installing the deck into..

fyi, the 2008 decks are wired differently.. the aux and the ipod cable share the same harness... and are not separate.

well the deck that came with the tc uses all but one plug. im assuming that that was the plug for the ipod. when i put the 08 HU in it uses all the plugs. but i still dont understand why the aux doesnt work. i tried using a few different ipods and mp3 players as well.

also im still looking for that"pigtail?" wire if anyone has on laying around

 

is there a way to rewire it? or it just a waste of time

 

i would have to go over the wiring... the "pigtail" harness on the '08+ was, as i said, shared both the ipod an AUX wiring..

as far as the wiring that led behind into the headunit (cable #1 in your list..)

i'm not sure if it was separated behind the deck to 2 separate connectors.. if it wasn't.. that would be an issue...
though i don't think it's the case..
