I'm really happy with the way this one is coming out!
On saturday I'll put on the resin and fiberglass, I just can't deside weather to paint it or carpet it in black. This one is 2.3 cu. ft. and ported @38Hz, so I've got the right air space and still have room in my trunk. It's a Win Win

The base is only 8 1/4" deep but the subs stick out another inch.

Ive got a couple of pioneer TS-W251R 10" subs
Hey your logo is the Resonant Engineering logo. How do you like there subs. Im a big fan of USAmps and they have a link on there web site to REAudio. Ive been real curious to hear how they sound

 

actually the back seats are in there normal position. Im even going to have enough room to mount my amp on the back of the box Ill post pics of that when I get to that point

 

RE is the best! That may be biased, but I have heard a lot of subs and RE is my favorite. By the way, trunk space is over rated!

 

Yea but Its a good selling point, a lot of people want the boom but dont want to give up there trunk space and thats what Im going for here

 

Very true. How are those kickpods coming along that you were working on?

 

I saw that the seats are in the fully upright and locked position. I'm talking about losing the reclining feature that allows you to make lounge chairs out of the interior. I do this all the time, so i dont want a box that loses that.

 

Im hoping to start the kickpods again on suday. I might start the frame on sat while waiting for the resin the dry on my box well see. I'll have some pic of them too

I am looking to do a similar setup in two weeks, but with two alpine type R 12s. What kinda mounting depth are you able to get out of that?

I've got about nine inches at least and I only need about 6 for these subs, but I can make it as deep as I need.

 

fujitech43 - that box is too big for me but what would something of that size go for?

 

Im only charging around $280 for a box like this, plus shipping. I can make it for 8" 10" and 12" subs. Ive even come up with a cool idea today for doing three 10" subs in a box like this one, just put the port on the bottom going side to side and the third sub in the middle higher than the other two and facing more upwards. Of course that would stick out a little more but its just an idea. I got the resin done today and sat I'll start sanding. I'll post more pics as the project goes alone. My goal is to have it completed by sun evening so well see
