Should the sub be set to 8 ohm or 2 ohm??

the 500/1 doesnt support an 8 ohm load.

 

What about a 250/1. I told the guy originally that made my box that I would be running a 250/1.

 

500/1 all the way. the sub can handle it. jsu tdont turn the gain all the way up even at half power that thing will thump. i have a 10w3v2, i had 3 but 2 were stolen alon gwith my amp. now im in teh market for a 500/1 so when i add a second or third sub i will be able to power them.

 

500/1 @ 2ohm!!!!! Be careful when setting your gains. Avoid distortion and you should have a setup that really JAMS for a long time!! You certainly won't be disappointed.

 

this is my setup. i am running obviously at 2 ohms and my gain is maybe turned half way up. this is also on a ported box. i originally wanted a sealed box but for some odd reason the garage installing my system built a ported. none the less i am very satisfied with my setup. its very clean and smooth but when turned up, i have had people ask me if i am running 2 12's. i love their faces when they see 1 10. get this system.

 

Well. I just already have the stuff pretty much. Just getting around to installing it. ;)

 

2 ohm FTW!, i got a similar setup, except i only have one sub...and it hits nicely. I don't even have the gain near halfway up, and it hits hard and sound clean as hell!
