Default just bought this, some questions

http://www.crutchfield.com/S-DrHmhV3...50&I=133VD6503

just bought that stereo ( not from that website, i got a better deal)

my question is:

1. which toyota wire harness do i buy?
2. do i need an install kit? and if so which one

ive put plenty of stereos in cars before my corolla, izuzu truck, f150/250, and blazer, and as far as i can remember, they didnt require any "kit", except for the blazer

Harness:

Dash kit to fill up the side gaps:
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-20pD75U...on&i=120958202

I think you have to cut a certain part off the dash kit. Not sure which part since I got mine used, but I would just search...

Sounds like he didn't buy it from Crutchfield, just used their website for a picture reference.

And gizmokat is right about the harness and kit.

oddly enough ebay

paid with shipping and free Ipod cable, $450.

Unit was brand new, never been opened in box.

I always buy my stuff on ebay, idk why people always say ebay sucks. I mean i really do a lot of research on sellers and stuff, so i guess if youre safe, you can get great deals.

S2k antenna= ebay OEM honda part, in honda bag, $14.00
Front black grill= ebay $30.00
HID kit= ebay $144
VVT-i emblem= ebay $12.00 In toyota parts bag (no 3m tape crap)

And everything i ever buy on ebay has been great

ebay....oh ebay

it all depends on the seller...never buy from international sellers. If something gets damaged in shipping, your claim will rarely go through (bought an athena technologies center channel speaker.........basically lost $120)

and you cant get manufacturers warrenty....so hope it dont break

the reason not to buy on ebay is to support your local dealers Yeah the local guys still make money but they wont be there for to much longer if people keep buying electronics from ebay =( Ebay stores can sell stuff cheap cuz they dont have a store to pay for or employees to pay.

the dash kit will have instructions telling you what to cut off depending on the model of the car...
one more thing, be careful to make sure ur ipod wire is ran apart from power wires, or youll have a ground loop through ur ipod, and it sucks i just had to rip out my whole center counsoul to fix mine

Yeah, buy your electronics for full price. Screw ebay. Screw competition.
