Default kenwood ddx5120 owners or similar product users

i currently installed my kenwoodddx5120 and updated the firmware... it still doesnt seem 2 read my ipod? everything else bout this product is awesome and i LOVE it... just please help with this!

I have the DDX712 and never had a problem with it reading the ipod. I believe there is a setting within it (can't check for it, I am in Iraq) that you have to change for the usb plug to read ipods. I could be wrong though. Also, try a different cable. You using the ipod one or did you buy a Kenwood one that allows video as well?

i bought the kenwood 1... it comes with the USB connector and yello/blacl (video/audio) connectorss for IPOD... if i disconnect the usb part i can play audio thru car... but i can never get ipod functions on the unit itself....

I have the DDX512.
What kind of iPod are you using?
It only works on the Touch, Classic, and Nano versions.

i have the ipod video i believe...damn.. K ill have to trade or something. Is it worth getting a new ipod or no/

Yeah I have the iPod Classic and I love it. You never have to use DVD's or CD's, just download movies and music onto your iPod.
