Kenwood DDX7017 installation question (wire)

I don't see any reference to this wire in the installation guide. Can someone let me know what it is used for? It is the blue/yellow wire with Remo. Cont on it as seen in this picture. If it is for the remote control, where does it connect to?

you use that wire to turn on an external amp
