Default LEATHER INTERIOR

Anyone know what a full Leather interiro costs with a color like Imola Red (BMW M3 Color). I want the seats, door panels, and console cover done in that color. Looks hot!! I live in NY, so if anyone knows a shop around Long Island that will do it, please let me know.. Thanks..

Best bet is to call around to local shops because price is going to vary by quality and what is done,

If your not sure where to start look up some car delaers in the area to see if they have any recomendations for local upholstery shops in town for cars and get with them.

That would def look hot but using the real deal material is going to get costly pretty quick.

Good luck!

I did my xB seats and door panels in genuine leather for $260.

got a kit off ebay, and did the install myself. i can tell you from that experience the cost is going to be mostly labor. I would guess in the 1200-1500 range depending on how 'custom' your leather is.

katzkin has a decent price kit for the tC

another option you might want to consider is the clazzio seat covers. they are synthetic, but i've seen one in person and was fooled. there are a ton of options for them, and they feel really nice. they are under 500 for the set, and do not look like seat covers, but will alow you to take your interior back to stock if you wish.

The Clazzio covers are a great option if you're on a budget.

But since you're looking for a whole interior modification, I'd call up Katzkin and see if they'll be able to help you. They definitely are the best mass-market type of leather seat cover.

You can probably find a shop to do everything custom, but your location may be the biggest hurdle.

My dealer offfered Katzkin for around $1200 installed (full kit). However, if I did go with it I would want to do it myself. The kits from them usually run around $700 I believe for everything, but I havent really looked in a long time. Autoxing and daily driving keeps me from wanting to go with leather for the most part.

When I spoke with my dealer guy at Scion he said that they will be able to do it but I'm not sure how much it's going to cost for that extra interior leather that they do not make. I've looked at katzkin but it looks like such a big deal to buy the kit and do all these things and I also have a time limit. What do you guys think? I really like some of the custom interior you can use on that site but I just don't know how long it will take.

The Katzkin install takes a few days. The seats are removed, the covers are then installed, and the seats are reinstalled. I think they have a video with the install process (the stock seat 'covers' are removed)

Typically I see 2-3 business days as the standard... but, of course, it'll vary. You might want to talk to an actual katzkin dealer to find out though.

Yes, those that have done it themselves report a few days time to get it done. Not a complicated process, but a time consuming one. Kinda like trying to fit an extra small leather jacket on Chris Farley and zip it up And some hogring pliers would be a must.

Katzkin offers a huge range of colors, I for one have red leather in my car and it looks sick. The dealer installed it for me when I bought the car, I believe it was 1200. Totally worth it in my opinion, as it looks 100 percent factory.
