Default led help!!

i tried to install the leds on the guage cluster and only the 2 leds for the odometer lcd screen lit up. when i turn on my headlights the others dont turn on and the odometer lcd leds turn off. i only installed 4 leds on the gas/temp gauges, 7 on the spedometer/odometer, and 3 on the rpm measurer. do i need to install more to make them work...or shud i just keep at it until it works? thanks

One is not making contact or one was killed from overheating upon install if they are all pointing the right direction. What sized soldering iron did you use..?

Cleaning it should not do anything... Also you cannot tell of they are overheated sometimes... of any of the plastic housing is melted, then they are cooked for sure.

There are no resistors changed on the gauge cluster.

ok i found out i didnt have the dimmer **** turned the right way (im apparently not too intelligent) so i fixed that problem but now the speedometer isnt reading...before taking it apart again i realized i lost that screw that holds in the cluster, does that have anything to do with grounding or anything other than holding it in place?

The needle is most likley pushed in to far, take it back off and make sure it moves totally free.
