LED swap gone wrong! Shocking!!
Im all for guys doing LED swap on their own or having a friend do it for you BUT just make sure you know what you're doing!!
Otherwise pay a professional to do it: Me, Squallheart, Garage1217, LEDmod, or engifneer. We can all take care of your swap properly so things like this wont happen to you. Do it right the first time, to save you from the headaches!
This is what I discovered when I opened up the HVAC and gauges:
Bent the LCD screen back so the installer didnt have to desolder the screen. In the process burned the LCD screen holder.

What is this?!? JDM LED's? why are they crooked and have became an AMD (air mounted LED!)

Forgot two LED's... + solder splash!

Note: the HVAC didnt have a resistor kit installed and there was also one broken needle.
Time for a major turn around:

i have to agree, if you wanna take a risk and DIY on your own stuff, by all means go ahead, but if your gonna pay someone to do this for you, make sure you can be guaranteed that this will be perfect, i can vouch from my DIY that this is no walk in the park!
BTW i love the green how it looks around the redline!

Hahaha, Man I just had one here twice that bad! Was over an hour of just clean up before I could start anything. I will take a pic of some of the leds I removed, and just by looking at them, you will get the picture hahahaha.
And wait until you get a person that used the super large plumbing solder from home depot, just a lake of nasy black flux all over everything hahaha.

I did my own LCD swap, but I had a professional do the soldering. I met him on a local car forum, and after he finished everything for me, I ask him what he did for a living. He told me he solders circuit broads/radios for the military 10 hours a day. I was just like holy ____! No wonder you are so good at it haha It took him like 20 minutes to de-solder and put in the new LEDs.
Here is how it came out:

On a related note, does anyone know why I can never get the images to embed into the forum? When I try I just get the code, like this:
