I personally did know that you did installs, as I have seen your posts before, but I wasn't sure about whether or not you stocked the supplies, which is why I referred him to garage1217...

And we all know that it doesn't matter who did something first, what really matters is that this is supposed to be a community and we are supposed to be here to help eachother, not to boast about who has done what...
I haven't been rude to anyone, this is my business and been running them for 5 years..
I've been taking care of each customer personally..
Can you tell me what did I do to make you feel bad??

OK, I've found the e-mail of what we've discussed about..
I've answered all your questions and why are you bad mouthing people??
Just because I didn't tell you exactly how the color changing gauge face is made??
I gave you general idea on how it's done..
I can't just sit down and tell you how to make the custom dual color LED module and custom RPM contoller step by step...
That is made primary for show purpose, it wasn't intended for sale... but for people who really wanted, I offer a completed installation service for it..
I think I've answered all your qustions and in proper manner..
I'm not sure what rudness I've cause..

Here is a copy of the e-mail..

Can you give me a price on a kit for an 05 tc...I need to change the LEDs on the cluster to white for the gauges and blue for all the indicators and it is a standard, also I wanna do the steering wheel in white, and the hvac in white for the buttons, blue for the screen and I need the hot/cold **** half blue and half red....I need the price for all the LEDs and resistors needed with 2 extra LEDs of each color, and I need them shipped to Houston...Thanks in advance...

All the options are there..
I usually include extra LED for the spare.
Thanks..

Hey, how much would it cost for the color changing Tach and is there any way you could tell me how you did it, cuz I would like to do the work myself...
LEDmod.com
HI..

Complete conversion is $800 (all the parts and labor)

You have to custom make dual color LED module that fits behind the gauge face..
You have to make custom rpm controller that inputs the RPM signal then, based on the set RPM on the controller, it will switch on from one color to other color on the dual color LED module.

creektrack
How much would it be for the parts alone? Or would you even offer that?

LEDmod.com
HI..

Sorry, I don’t offer parts for the color changing gauge face modification..
Thanks..

Wow, I was actually trying to keep it to PMs, but since you decided to be that way...I wasn't specifically talking about that email, I have spoken to you in the past, in fact, if you want the truth, the reason I went with garage1217 is because I found you first, but then you were very rude with me when I was asking simple questions about the way your site was setup since it is a lil confusing at first, but then I found him and he was very helpfull and still is to this day...In fact, he helped me find an easier and heck of a lot cheaper way of doing the color changing gauges, it would have cost about $50 rather than the $800 you are charging for the swap...

I know him personally and he has done a full LED swap in my car. Great guy and will bend over backwards for his customers.

Exactly, which is why I will continue to recommend and use him as a supplier...Any time he is online and I have a question he answers it without hesitation...

Now, I'm not trying to make this thread a bash fest on other installers/suppliers, it's just some comments and opinions that everyone is entitled to, which is why they invinted User Reviews...

I have no problem making it public, since I have nothing to hide..
Why don't you tell me more specific how I was rude, instead of just keep saying I was rude.
What was the simple questions??

Also for the color changing gauge face, you are comparing to a totally different subject.
Let's say it costs you $50, will you ever sell it as $50??

You don't know the what is involved in the $800
- Custom gauge face
- Center tach conversion
- LED conversion
- Custom made Dual color LED conversion
- Custom made RPM controller
- Also all the misc parts and INSTALLATION
Yes of course, the parts does not cost just $800
It was a ball park of what it would cost for one of a kind conversion
Also that wasn't for full production price.
It wasn't intended for sale, it's more for show purpose... It was available as special case...

This isn't meant any comments for Garage1217...

Just because you had service done by one persons, it shoudn't make it right to make other person's service a bad..
You are being an one side judgement..

Many time user reviews are biased..
I know what how I've done my business and I do not remember being rude to anyone... since down the road, it's additional business towards me..
Even if I did made you feel bad in anyways, I would like to know and try to fix that..
Also you didn't made clear of what your intention was...

Please keep this to PMs, it is unethical to jack this guys thread to argue about this...But because I'm sure you will say I just don't have anything to say...

Basically, I emailed you asking a few questions about your site a couple years ago because I didn't understand your layout...At that time I was new to the game and was excited that I found this site and was ready to try my hand at swapping out the LEDs in my tC...Well, when I did email you these few questions, you were very short and sorta rude and you didn't really answer the questions I had asked you, I had even wrote you back and asked them again, and you were once again rude...

Like I said in the PM before you brought it here, maybe I caught you on a bad day, but then again, it took about a week to get the BS answers you did give me...No, I can't remember exactly what they were seeing as how it was probly over 2 years ago, but the questions are not the point, it's the point that you just didn't have very good customer service...

Now, I do understand what is involved in that conversion, but it's not an $800 install, charging anything over $500 would be reaching...

OP - Go with white and red, it will help contrast the red...But it all depends on how much you like to look at the color red...I can't stand an all red interior, but a two-tone red interior I can deal with, but that's just me...I think if it was me doing it, I would for sure do red needles and then do whatever white/red combo you want for the gauge faces, but I would def. do red needles, they look clean with red needles...

Looks good man, I woulda got rid of the orange altogether though...If you do decide to get rid of the orange for him later on, throw some of that vinyl on the back of the gauge where to needle goes through so that there will be a red halo behind it instead of that white one...

And don't worry about not being a pro, in all honesty, you don't have to be a pro to make it look good, it's just that you get quicker with time...

If you are so ethical, you should be posting on Feedback thread, if you want to make comments towards me...
From what I can see from you, you are just being negative cause you didn't get answer you wanted...
You can't just ask Apple "how do you make the iphone"
Your story seems to be different every time you made the comments..
All you are saying is just negative comments and doesn't saying anything concrete...

What makes you the right to judge what "$800" is right or wrong.. you don't know exactly how mine is made.
I'm sure they are other ways to make it.. which will make the cost vary drastically
If it costs you $50 to make the parts and you are charging $450 for the install is ridiculous...
Please do make one for yourself and show it off and sell it for $500..
I would like to see this happends with $50 in parts..

I've saying over and over $800 is not the install prise
It's combination of all the parts and installation...
