Whoa catch fire..? I have not seen that, but when testing a bunch of them out "w6led models" they all tested fine for months on the bench at 12V. When I turned it up to running voltage of 13.8-14.4 then after 4-5 hours they go hot enough to turn the plastic case brown and died fast. At this time I have no recommendation for interior led lights other than custom units people are making. I have some of them in the works but still in testing.

^^ yeah.. indeed.. i've dealt with superbrightleds before and haven't had any issues outside their 6led ones that were mentioned..

i've seen some melt.. but none whatsoever as far as fire...

when picking a led bulb... i stay away from the non-polarized ones.... LEDs are meant to be polarized and should remain that way...

the circuitry that most led bulbs have to make them become non-polarized are unreliable.

i make my own as well as jeremy. custom work is always better and you know what it's made of, because you put it together.

yea same exact thing happened to me 6 weeks after i swapped in the LED, its so crazy because its only the left LED, anyways when i purcahsed them, i bought 2 extra of everything (trying to get my money worth cause shipping was 8 bucks). so i ended up swapping a new one in, however i took one of the LED's from the reverse light instead of the original wide angle LED, but it looks almos the same
